Middle Istra stands out because of its numerous particularities. Let's explore together!
PazinThe castle of Pazin is the biggest and most preserved fort in Istra. Inside the castle there's a Istrian National Museum and thetown Museum, which are much visited.

MotovunGracisce and Pican: situated at the top of two hills, these two small medieval towns offer a unique panoramic view of the valley, where the biggest Istrian mountain Ucka emerges. A very intersesting town in the nearby is the town of Motovun, together with the town of Groznjan is the most beautiful medieval little town in Istra. If you make a town tour along the medieval stonewall you will see: beautiful valleys surrounded with pictoresque hills make a landscape from farry tales.

PorecIn the eastern part of Istra we are close to Porec. Town born in roman era, even today preserves street crossways at right angle, the remains of a Roman temple and a tradition in wine and olive oil production. A monument wich is most visited is the Euphrasiana Church from 5th century, with rich and beautiful mosaics.

RovinjThen there's Rovinj (Rovigno), this small town will astound you with its straight medieval streets and its mediterranean warm air. Santa Eufemia is the main church, here you can admire astonishing reliques and constructions in baroque style. From the Church square there's abeautiful view at sea and numerous islands in distance. A tour in town museum and all the galleries will enrich your cultural conscience.

PulaThe biggest city of the Istrian penninsula is Pula. It offers a variety of attractions to art and culture lovers. Walking on the streets of Pula it's impossible not to notice numerous monuments of roman architecture: the Golden Gate from 1st ceentury B.C., Hercule's and Twin Gate, Augustus' Temple, Arena is a small Roman theatre in city center... If you stop to see the main city square you will experience a sensation: the Forum which maintains the function of a meeting place seince the time of August, the emperor. It is one of the last oasis which have preserved the appearance of past times - it is a mosaic of cultivated land and greeen little forrests almost dipped into sea.

DvigradDvigrad today consists of remains of a fort town which emerges from Draga Lim. It was alive and productive till 1613, when an epidemy of plague destroyed town life.

ZminjWhat seems to bee burned land at the south point of Istra, Punta Kamenjak keeps great secrets of nature. Thanks to endemic stones and particular living area for some species of birds, Kamenjak has become beautiful part of nature.
